TOTALLY MONOCHROME

While visiting London last week for the Boohoo Spring/Summer 17 Press event, I had a couple of hours spare so it was only right that I shot an outfit post on one of "Those" beautiful monochrome South Kensington streets. The fact that my outfit seemed to match the stunning backdrop is merely a coincidence.

I have totally fallen back in love with an all black look (well almost all black). Although I have never been one for shying away from colour but there's just something so cool about an all black outfit. I update an all black look by mixing different textures/finishes, especially with (faux) leather.

CHUNKY DETAILED KNITS & A TOUCH OF BLUE

I think I officially have a knitwear obsession, especially jumpers with detail at the cuff. Who am I kidding?! Anything with detailed cuffs will get my instant approval.
And yet again Zara just keeps on delivering, this puff sleeved knit is the latest addition and I am in love. The sleeves are a bit of a statement but still quite subtle.

Also you may have seen my bronze velvet Osha ankle boots floating around my instagram/blog.  The babes from Ego kindly sent me the royal blue version. I absolutely love the pop of colour they add to an outfit & as they are velvet they still have a real autumnal vibe about them.

Just to finish of this look I added my faux fur coat (another Zara steel, which was around £20 in the sale a couple of winters ago).

Hope you like his look, would love to here your comments.

CASUAL DRESSIN'

So I fancied little change from my usual winter outfits that only consist of jeans and faux leather trousers. I was on the look out for a dress of some sort, one that was super casual but could be dressed up and a little on the warm (ish) side.

Then H&M answered all my prayers (which they have been doing a lot of recently) with the perfect LBD.
I love the high neck, longer sleeves and seam detail at the cuff.  The soft ribbed knit makes it a little warmer,  a great piece for layering.

Here I've styled it with my velvet ankle boots, I love the contrast of the fabrics. I think it would also look great with thigh high boots and a chunky knit.

FOR THE LOVE OF BOOTS

I love fashion at this time of year, cosy jumpers, layering and boots (which is what I live for) there are soooo many out there – I need them all.

H&M is really doing it for me at the moment, which is where these little babies are from. Patent, Silver hardware detail – Oh yes!! And home with me they came.

Now a heel is not usually every day shoe of choice, I love flats. But believe me when I say these are some of the comfiest shoes I own. They were even comfortable for a day spent running around London. And at £39.99 what’s not to love.

Here I’ve styled them with my Asymmetric hemmed jeans, I love the contrast of the boot, a little ankle flash and then the hem detail.

Where’s your go to for boots?

SHE WORE MULTI TONE VELVET

I think I’m right in saying that velvet is the thing this A/W. I’m surprised its not the in thing every year, It’s such a luxurious texture and works perfectly with all things cosy.

When the beauties at Ego asked me to style up some of their boots I knew that they had to be velvet. I decided on the Bronze Osha Velvetankle boot. They are simply gorgeous and the colour is perfect for this season. I’ve had so many compliments on them.

Another thing I’m loving about the velvet trend is that there are so many tones and velvet like textures around I really wanted to have a play around by mixing & matching.

Here I’ve teamed the boots with this gorgeous chenille cardigan, which I picked up in Zara, and just like the boots it comes in a few lush colours.

I am definitely going to be a repeat offender with this look. Oh and ‘’THAT’’ bag. I can't even....I am going to be wearing it forever.
